V2cigs is the bomb

As I told you guys before, after 30+ years of smoking tobacco cigarettes, I decided to quit – for good.  Since I had tried all of the patches, gum, drugs, hypnosis, etc. and nothing had worked, I wondered if e-cigarettes could be the answer I was looking for.  So I did my research and chose the “v2cigs”. 

The Kit

The Batteries

 When ordering, you have your choice of batteries.  There are 3 to choose from (standard, shorty and extra long).  You can choose the color (white, black, stainless steel).  You can also choose between manual and automatic.  The manual batteries have a button on the side that primes the liquid before you take the first drag, so you get a good thick vapor.  With the automatic, you need to puff on it a couple of times to prime it before you get a real good vapor.  Since I didn’t know anything about the batteries when I ordered, I chose to go with one of each length with two of them being manual and one automatic.  After using them for a few days, I decided that I really like the manual, so I’ll just keep the automatic as a backup.  All of the batteries last for several hours and work great.  However, the Power Cig is the bomb.  It has a higher voltage rating than the batteries, so you get a super thick vapor and throat hit with this one.  I like it so much that I bought another one to keep at my desk at work.  It is powered by a USB port that plugs directly into your computer.  Using this one saves the batteries for when you’re out and about. 

The Cartridges

The V2cigs cartridges come in a variety of flavors.  All are available in four nicotine strengths:  Full (18 mg), Medium (12 mg), Light (6 mg) and Zero (0mg).  Since I always smoked menthol cigarettes, I chose to go with the menthol and peppermint cartridges and chose the medium nicotine strength.  The menthol is fantastic.  It took me a few puffs of the peppermint to get used to the flavor, but after using it a few times, I really like it.  I still prefer the menthol.  After using just the menthol and the peppermint for a few days, I figured it was time to spread my wings.  You know – take a walk on the wild side and try some different flavors.  I ordered coffee and chocolate.  They both had a very pleasant, sort of sweet flavor.  I really enjoyed both, but I still prefer the menthol.

The pre-filled cartridges are supposedly disposable, but I have read that you can actually re-fill them with e-liquid.  I’m going to give that a try.  V2cigs doesn’t currently sell e-liquid (yet), so I have to buy it elsewhere.  They do sell blank cartridges, so I’ve ordered a few.  I’ve also ordered some e-liquid from a couple of different places.  I’ll post reviews on those soon.

Summary

After using the V2cigs for 6 weeks now and I’m very happy to report that I’m officially tobacco free.   The great thing is that I haven’t even missed smoking tobacco cigarettes.  No more of that terrible smoke smell on my clothes or in my hair.  The Ultimate Kit was exactly what I needed.  All of the batteries work well, but the Power Cig is the greatest thing ever.  It provides a great throat hit and simulates smoking better than the batteries.  Don’t get me wrong, the batteries are great too, I just prefer the Power Cig.   I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who wants to quit smoking tobacco cigarettes.  Go to http://www.v2cigs.com/ and remember to use coupon code 65637 to get 15% off of any starter kit.
